A Beam of Amazing Brightness! When this headlight came in the mail, I was really excited. You all know how amazon shopping is: You research your options ad nauseam, until you've found the perfect one. Then you get all excited because you've sort of married yourself to it. Well, that happened with this, and believe me, I want no divorce. You can't tell how bright it is during the day, but at night, it's really amazing. Maybe I've just been deprived of high-quality bike lights, but I was stunned at the brightness of this. My previous Blackburn Quadrant headlight is a joke compared to this "Princeton Tec Eos Bike Maxbright Rebel LED Headlight". It's made from quality materials, and comes with three different mounting options: You can wear it around your head with the included quality head strap, you can attach it to a helmet with an included Velcro strap, and you can mount in on your bike. 31 of 31 people found the following review helpful excellent light for night biking/activities, October 7, 2009 By jarrito (north carolina) - See all my reviews This review is from: Princeton Tec Eos-R Bike Light (Spring 2010) (Sports) i purchased this light at my local Mast General Store about a year ago and have been incredibly satisfied with it ever since. i've only changed the batteries in it about three times, because i use it mostly for biking on the blinking setting. i really like all the modes it has; really bright, bright, dim and blinking. the brightest setting really lights up the road, and i've traveled through wooded areas at night with great visibility. the ONLY downside is that it does drain the battery on the brightest setting after about an hours use. that may also depend on what batteries you use, though. i use normal duracell/energizer batts- never tried lithiums.

It is very bright and runs a long time on three AAA batteries. I have had it in the rain, on the bike and in the freezing cold. Seems impervious. I have it as a backup when I ride the trails. I would be fine for the streets. I also have a Princeton Tec Eos several years old. It is not as bright but has also stood the test of time. These are great lights and very resonably priced.
