Specs for Avenir 26" chrome Cruiser Fenders, March 31, 2011 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Avenir Cruiser Fender Set,Chrome, 26 Inch (Sports) First of all, I'd like to say for all the people that said these fenders were too wide or too narrow, nobody put in any measurements in their reviews. Come on people, let's make these reviews informative. I was hesitant to order these. Would they fit in the forks? Luckily, they worked just fine for the bike that I wanted them for. To save you the time and cost of sending them back, I have the measurements for these fenders. They weigh a lttle over 3 lbs. The width is 3 1/8". They are crimped to fit in your forks/frame. At the crimps, the width is 2 7/8". They come with no instructions. You have to remove the wheels to install the fenders. Your wheel axles hold the braces in place as opposed to some fenders that fasten to the frame. I had to cut 1 of the screws & I added lock washers. Over all, these are nice fenders that come with all the hardware that you need. I hope to post a picture soon. Hope this helps.

The Chrome looks very nice and they came with a buch of nuts and bolts as well as the four stays. I will update this review once I have fully installed them. NOTE:"Crusier" , "Beach Cruiser" or "Balloon Tire" refers to a bike with fat tires (usually 2.125") so if your tires are not that wide you should not get these fenders, and look for fenders for a "road bike", "middle wieght" or such, or go to a bike shop if you can't figure it out. Update: I installed the fenders on my pimped out cruiser (a cheapo like you can get at wall mart). They fit very well and there was plenty of hardware included. The chrome is holding up very well, and looks great on the bike.

Cruiser Fenders, August 8, 2011 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Avenir Cruiser Fender Set,Chrome, 26 Inch (Sports) I bought these for my mountain bike to make it look a little like a cruiser. I don't compete or take rides over 30 miles normally but do live in the country where fenders come in handy for puddles, road kills, and debris on the side of the road. I thought my bike and the 2.25X26 tires were big enough to support cruiser style fenders and I wasn't far from being right about that. Truthfully, they belong on an old style cruiser though. It took quite a bit to modify the braces and the rear fender to fit my application. I ended up shortening the braces all the way around and using 1.25 inch tubing clamps for the front fender mounts due to "no" mounting holes on the forks.
I bought these due to the 26 inch description but would go smaller if I had to do it over. I would look for something a bit smaller both in circumference and width if I could find a manufacturer that actually listed the dimensions.
